When tourists think of California many famous attractions come to mind. Hollywood, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Napa Valley all are popular destinations. Few places, however, hold the beauty and majesty of Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe offers recreational opportunities year around. In the winter multiple ski resorts open and satisfy all levels of skiers and snowboarders. In the summer the lake becomes abuzz with ski boats, the hills offer perfect terrain for mountain bike riding, and the lake shores become a tanning bed.

This Northern California destination is o­ne of the most popular because it also sits o­n the border of Nevada. o­ne step out of California and you find multiple casinos with the abundant entertainment they provide. You can see a show featuring many of the notable headliners, gorge at the buffets, and of course, gamble.

Crystal Mountains, Lake Tahoe
For those that are less active Lake Tahoe also satisfies the relaxation need. It’s not uncommon to find an unpopulated corner of the lake to simply sit back and enjoy. Depending o­n the time of year you can gaze upon mountain peaks that are either sterling white or lush green. Whatever the background it is sure to be magnified by the spectacularly blue water. Lake Tahoe is known the world over for its blue magnificence.

Choosing a travel destination in California can be a real chore. There is simply so much to choose from an individual can never see it all. However, Lake Tahoe needs to be at the top of anyone’s “to do” list. Making this location a priority will definitely have its reward.
