In the midst of Nevada's deserts, mountains, and canyons, lies a truly magical place called Las Vegas. The city of Las Vegas is an oasis that has become a major tourist attraction in the United States. Established in the early 1900's, Las Vegas is not best known for its history and heritage but rather for modern glamor. Any conversation about casinos and gambling cannot be completed without mentioning Las Vegas.

Las Vegas has earned the nickname "Sin City" because of its early history of rogue influences such as organized crime. Such concerns are in the history books, as modern Las Vegas offers visitors safety and excitement. Las Vegas is a popular destination for couples of all ages who want to spice up their relationships. Although there are some family friendly activities, Las Vegas is mostly an adult's paradise.

The focal point of Las Vegas is the Las Vegas Strip. For about a 4 mile span that runs along Las Vegas Boulevard South, The Strip is lined with dozens of hotels and casinos. This is where all the gambling, nightlife, shopping, dining and entertainment take place. There is a monorail service that runs above The Las Strip, which offers convenient public transportation. Additionally, the McCarran International Airport is located within walking distance of the Las Vegas Strip.

Most hotels along the Las Vegas Strip include their own shops, restaurants, night clubs, lounges, and entertainment venues. This allows visitors to enjoy everything under o­ne roof. Of course, people are more than welcome to enjoy the offerings of the other hotels along the Las Vegas Strip.

The Venetian hotel offers some of the best nightlife and shopping in Las Vegas with the Tao Nightclub and the Grand Canal Shoppes. Among the many gambling opportunities, the MGM Grand has o­ne of the largest Casinos in Las Vegas. The Wynn hotel offers golfers an incredible playing opportunity amidst all the hot action in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Strip is full of colorful and diverse hotels with architecture that mimics other world famous cities and landmarks. For example, The Excalibur has a medieval Europe theme while the the nearby Luxor is a pyramid made of glass and metal. The Venetian and Bellagio are full of Italian elegance while the New York-New York hotel reminds visitors of Manhattan's skyline. There is a Las Vegas hotel to suit anyone's style.
